A Nelson baseball player has been recognized for a stellar rookie season.
Quin Hall, who played outfield for the White Rock Tritons last season, was named rookie of the year by the British Columbia Premier Baseball League earlier this month.
Hall, who moved to the Lower Mainland earlier this year to pursue a baseball career, batted .336 in 122 at-bats. He also led the Tritons with three home runs and 34 RBIs and also tied for first in stolen bases with 10.
The 17 year old was also second overall in homers and RBIs.
