It was a frosty but fun day for the racing fleet of the Schooner Cove Yacht Club last Sunday for the fifth race of seven in the Fall Colours Series.

The wind was light so a relatively short course of seven miles was chosen.

The boats were tightly bunched at the start line during the pre-start sequence.

At the sound of the starting horn Shingebiss crossed the line immediately followed by Amazing Grace and Freewind.

The crews of Freewind and Flight worked hard and overtook Amazing Grace on the downwind leg with the rest of the fleet close behind. Race six is scheduled for November 30.
