Campbell River played host to the sixth annual Race the River dragon boat regatta last Saturday. A total of 19 teams, including Campbell River’s own BraveHearts and River Spirit, raced through the Campbell River Estuary for the treasured gold medal which was secured by Cowichan Bay’s Spirit Dragons. The Comox Valley’s Prevailing Wins won the silver medal while Nanaimo’s Aquaholics took the bronze medal.
