The Langley Rams closed out the regular season with a 35-23 victory over the Westshore Rebels.
The Rams travelled to Vancouver Island and after falling behind early — they trailed 8-7 after one quarter — scored the game’s next 20 points to seize control of the B.C. Football Conference junior game at Westhills Stadium in Langford.
Rams quarterback Dylan Tucker threw for 244 yards and three scores as he spread the ball among seven receivers.
Dallas Yassinsky, Seye Akinsanmi and Cecil Belanger all caught touchdown passes while Yassinsky also recovered a fumble in the end zone for another score.
And the ground game churned out 173 yards on 26 carries, an average of 6.6 yards per rushing attempt with Ryan MacDonald leading the way with 11 carries for 102 yards.
Brock Gowanlock led the defence with four solo tackles and one quarterback sack.
Shaiheem Charles-Brown and Adam Marchetti both forced fumbles with Darrian Matassa-Fung getting a fumble recovery.
The Rams, who finished the season 6-4 and in third place, travel to Nanaimo on Oct. 17 to face the 7-3 Vancouver Island Raiders in a BCFC semifinal game.
The Raiders won both head-to-head games during the regular season, 22-14 in week one and 24-18 in week nine.
