The Nanaimo Timbermen suffered their most lopsided loss in years, but they’ll be able to forget about it in a hurry.
That’s because the senior A T-men play host to the Victoria Shamrocks on Wednesday (June 5) at Frank Crane Arena.
It’s the first meeting of the season between the Coastal Windows Timbermen (1-3) and the Shamrocks (4-1). The other major storyline is Scott Ranger making his return to the Harbour City. Ranger, who is from Nanaimo, played eight seasons with the Timbermen before requesting a trade this past off-season. He is now the team captain of the Shamrocks.
Wednesday’s opening faceoff is 7 p.m.
The T-men lost 18-7 to the Coquitlam Adanacs on Saturday on the mainland. Paul Brebber led the Timbermen with two goals.
