Rebels OT winners on successive nights

Castlegar squad gains wins over Creston and Beaver Valley on Friday and Saturday, respectively

A decent crowd of Castlegar hockey fans went home happy Friday night from the community complex after Tyler Robinson, from Scott Morisseau and Anthony Delong, potted the winner, giving his squad a 4-3 overtime win over the Thundercats.

It was Robinson’s second goal of the game to go along with markers by Scott Morisseau and Arthur Andrews.

Jordan Johnson (with a pair) and Tre Potskin replied for the Visitors.

The Rebels travelled for a game with the Beaver Valley Nitehawks the following night, earning a 3-2 overtime win.

Erik Alden had the winner, four minutes into the extra frame, assisted by Scott Morisseau and Stuart Walton.

Other goals were supplied by Walton, and Tyler Robinson.

Beaver Valley goals were scored by Christian Johnson and Chris Derochie. The win gave Castlegar 61 points in the Neil Murdoch division standings of the KIJHL, within four points of the first place Nitehawks.
