Girls and Women on the Move is a program that has been created to help inactive girls and women get active again.
Winter in Grand Forks does not have to be long, dark and boring as there are so many different activities that can be enjoyed here in our area.
Experience cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in our back yard and try your luck at curling and skating.
These are some of the winter activities the group will get to experience and try during the month of February. The events are free but you must call to register.

Many of us have probably thought about doing a triathlon but feel the time commitment for training is just too much.
Grand Forks Recreation (GFREC) is offering a Triathlon in a Month for the month of February.
Participants will choose their distance category that works best for their fitness level. When you have completed the distance, your name will be entered into a draw. This is a great prep for the 2012 Pharmasave Christina Lake Triathlon scheduled for Sunday, June 24.
