New signs for the ski trails at Barriere Forks Park were put up at a work bee on Saturday Oct. 13.

Ten members of the North Thompson Recreation Society split and piled  wood for the both the woodstove and  the fire pit.  The warming hut was cleaned, and everyone walked the trails to insure the signs were in the right place.

The lovely wooden signs  were  kindly donated by Bob Stirling.

Snowshoe trails have been cleared as well, and markers for these trails will be put up  when snow makes them more visible.

Ski lessons for children age four and up are planned for two Sundays  in  January  on the 13th and 20th, to be followed by a fun evening on Saturday, Jan. 26, with dinner, night skiing and a howl to the moon.
