With June 26 being the Tuesday prior to Canada Day, 44 members of the Crown Isle Ladies golf club turned out (most wearing red and white) for their game of Red and White – team play where the white tees are used on the odd holes and the red tees on the even holes. The score of the two best net balls of the foursome – using the white handicap – is entered.
The winning team with a first low net of 126 included Judy Aldcroft, Sandy Dudley, Helen Flynn and Pat Johnson. Second low net was a two-way tie at 129: Helen Dahl, Margaret Forgeron, Shirley Ketter and Maggie Maclean; and Audrey Clark, Gillian Kirkpatrick, Sandy Linhart and Andrea Spitz.
Audrey Clark won both KPs (#7 and #16). Birdies were as follows: Audrey Clark (#16), Iris Peterson (#10), Andrea Spitz (#12) and Jenny Steele (#11). Pars on the par 5s (25+ hcp) were scored by Margaret Forgeron on #1 and Liz Ellis and Pat Johnson on #10.
Following the game, everyone gathered for a picnic at the home of the ladies club captain Liz Ellis. The weather cooperated and the day was fun.

2nd low net -16 Ted Sauve, Leo Lamothe, Rick Verbeek, Vic Crisp and Russ Parker.
Hole winners: #1 (Applebee’s) Vic Crisp; #2 (Billy D’s Pub) Bob Edwards; #3 (Scott Fraser Real Estate) Lee Johnson;
