A birdie on the 17th hole sealed victory for Doug Morgan.
Morgan, the head professional at Redwoods Golf Course, captured the 2014 Cleveland Golf/Srixon Canada PGA of B.C. Club Professional Championship.
The two-day tournament wrapped up on Oct. 1 at the Seymour Golf and Country Club.
Morgan shot an opening round 69 for a one-stroke lead and then shot an even-par 72 on the second day to finish with a 3-under 141.
Bill Kelly (Glacier Greens Golf Club) and Kevin Maxwell (Olympic View Golf Club) finished in a tie for second place.
He won by three strokes and was the lone golfer to shoot below par.
“I played well coming down the stretch,” said Morgan.
“I made a great putt on fourteen (to take the lead) and then gave myself chances at fifteen and sixteen. The birdie on seventeen was a nice cushion, then on eighteen I just played safe for par, taking the left side out of play.”
Morgan also won championship titles in both 2009 and 2010.
