Dry weather was great news for those who tested their endurance in Al Anderson Pool and on the roads around City Park June 12.

Held under relatively cool temperatures and a partly sunny sky, Sunday’s 16th annual TRI-IT Triathlon had a reflective feel to it.

Six months after the passing of TRI-IT advocate and former Langley City Councillor Dave Hall, the triathlon now includes the Dave Hall Classic Division (60-plus age group) in his honour.

The event – which included laps in Al Anderson Pool followed by cycling and then running on the roads around City Park – had categories for youth ages 5-14, adults, seniors, and relay teams of up to three people. Prizes were awarded to the first place male and female participant in each age category.
