Last weekend, 22 of the Revelstoke Acrobats competitive team traveled to Port Coquitlam for the BC Provincial Gymnastics Championships.
The athletes all did amazing, with great performances and personal bests. Athletes also did well dealing with comfort zones being pushed and tested.
There were seven medals won and three Revelstoke team members were crowned provincial champions. Karsyn Powell won gold in level one trampoline, Summer Novakowski in level three double mini, and Will Haraysm in level three mens tumbling.
Sani Supinen placed second in level two double mini, earning a hard bonus in both her preliminary passes. Earning bronze medals performing solid routines were Kayln Gale in level three double mini, Sam Larson in level one double mini, Sani Supinen & Karsyn Powell in level one synchronized trampoline.
Competing in their first trampoline competition ever was Sam Larson, Ruby Serrouya and Aiden Hill.
The coaches were very pleased with the progress the athletes made in the last couple of weeks and hope the momentum will carry on for the upcoming meets. I would also like to say a special thanks to our judges and our great group of supportive parents.
