The Revelstoke Grizzlies played the Princeton Posse on home ice on Friday night, winning 9-1.
Jon Vandermolen scored the first goal four and a half minutes into the first period, assisted by Cash Sawchyn and Nathan Bailer.
Bailer scored with 9:51 left on the click assisted by Sawchyn and Caleb Rausch.
Two minutes later Cody Flann scored goal number three for the Grizzlies, assisted by Kaeden Patrick.
The Grizzlies continued to dominate the ice in the second period with a goal at 15:05 by Ethan Rideout, asssisted by Carter Anderson and Thean Schaeffer.
Just over two minutes later Raymond Speerbrecker scored a power play goal assisted by Flann and Patrick.
With 4:48 left on the clock Sawchyn scored goal number six assisted by Vandermolen and Nathan Bailer.
A minute later Patrick scored goal number seven assisted by Flann and Ullar Wiatzka.
The Princeton Posse answered back with a short handed goal with 3:44 left on the clock in the second period, by Ethan Schmore, unassisted.
However the Grizzlies wouldn’t give more than an inch and scored another goal on a powerplay with 1:50 left on the clock. Scored by Jaden Hay and assisted by Tommy Bodtker.
The Grizzlies sealed the deal 9-1 in the third period with a goal from Flann, assisted by Patrick.
The Grizzlies took 66 shots on net and the Posse took 34. The Grizzlies’ goalie Noah Desouza saved 34 shots.
On Saturday the Grizzlies played the Kamloops Storm, winning 4-0.
In the first period only one shot made the scoreboard, a powerplay goal by Ethan Schaeffer, assisted by Flann and Raymond Speerbrecker.
In the second period the Grizzlies scored two more powerplay goals. One from Flann, assisted by Dalton Irvine and Patrick, and one from Patrick assisted by Flann and Irvine.
Vandermolen scored the fourth goal of the game, assisted by Bailer, with 6:02 left in the second period.
Revelstoke’s goalie, Liam McGarva saved 24 shots. The Kamloops goalie Ethan Paulin-Hatch saved 38 shots.
The Grizzlies remain second in the conference after the Kelowna Cheifs and third in the league after the Kimberly Dynamiters.
