The Ridge Meadows Bruins Rugby men played against the Chilliwack Crusaders last weekend and came away with a 21-13 win.
Try scorers were Joshua Ladd with two, and Connor Epp.
The men have a needed bye coming up for the Thanksgiving weekend, as they were hit hard by injuries in the last two games. They will be training hard in preparation for their home game on Oct. 15 against Squamish.
The women are also struggling with injuries and were forced to take to the field against Surrey with no substitutions available. Despite the lack of fresh legs and any injury replacements, the Bruins were able to come away with a 27-12 victory.
Try scorers were Faith Fitzpatrick and Kelsey Cowie with two each and Rosie O’Reilly with one.
