The Langley Rivermen continue their off-season makeover, adding two more players to the mix.
The junior A hockey club has added goaltender Jimmy Kruger and forward Justin Cintas to the roster ahead of the team’s upcoming training camp.
Kruger, 19, comes to Langley from the Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League, while the 18-year-old Cintas played for the San Diego Gulls of the Western States Hockey League.
Kruger, who is from Minnesota, was 24-9-4-3 with a 2.36 goals against average and a .914 save percentage for the Tornado. He is six-foot-three and 190 pounds.
“He is a big guy that moves extremely well and should adapt to the league quite easily,” said Rivermen assistant coach Bobby Henderson .
“He is the ultimate competitor and that’s all you can ask for from anyone who goes in between the pipes.”
Cintas, five-foot-nine and 170 pounds, scored five goals and 19 assists in 40 games for the Gulls.
“Justin is an energy guy with playmaking ability that every team likes to have,” Henderson said.
“We look for his role to grow with the team as the season goes along as he has plenty of assets to help the club with.”
