The first game of February didn’t go the way the Kelowna Rockets wanted. They were shut-out by the Spokane Chiefs Friday night 4-0. Both Rockets’ goalies allowed two during the game, but it was Kelowna’s offence that didn’t lend any help as they Rockets were out-shot 32-25, with only six shots in the third period.
The Rockets will return to home ice and play their biggest rivals Saturday night. The Kamloops Blazers have been a tough match-up for the Rockets this season. The Rockets are 4-1 against the Blazers and look to keep them off their backs as the Blazers sit only three points back of the Rockets for third place in the B.C division.
With just over seven weeks remaining in the season, the Rockets need every point they can get especially against divisional opponents like the Blazers, who they play four more times this season.
