Calvin Thurkauf and Jake Kryski scored twice each and added two assists as the Kelowna Rockets beat the hometown Kootenay Ice 7-3 Saturday in Cranbrook.
The Rockets, who have won four straight games, have outscored their opponents 20-7 in the process.
Kole Lind, with his team-leading 17th goal, Rodney Southam and Leif Mattson also scored for Kelowna (19-11-1-0).
Brodan Salmond stopped 15 shots in the Rockets’ net for his fourth win of the season.
Kelowna was without Nick Merkley and Dillon Dube for the second straight game. The two forwards are at the Canadian junior team’s final selection camp in Blainville, Que.
Calvin Thurkauf (Switzerland) and Tomas Soustal (Czech Republic) will leave the club Monday to join their respective countries in preparation for the world junior hockey championship.
The Rockets will visit the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Sunday night.
