Rolling with the Rockets: Bennett stays positive on the ice

Jacob Bennett began playing hockey when he was six years old, and took up playing goalie when he was 11.

Jacob Bennett began playing hockey when he was six years old, and took up playing goalie when he was 11.

Since then, he went on to win the peewee AA provincials, and has been working each year since to hone his skill as a goalie.

Following his dream for success and hockey at a higher level, Bennett came to Golden from Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., to be a part of the team’s turn around and bring back the winning culture.

Every day, Bennett brings a positive attitude to the arena, and he works to pick up his teammates when they’re feeling down.

Over the course of the regular season, Bennett hoped to win as many games as possible, and finish the season without any regrets, know he worked his hardest and did his best. In the future, Bennett hopes to go to med school and become an emergency physician.
