Golden Rockets defenseman Jaden Callan has been playing hockey since he was four years old, and comes to Golden from Red Deer.
In his youth, his favourite memory of hockey as a kid was travelling to B.C. during the spring and winning gold three times. Since then, he has dedicated his time to the love of the sport, and decided to come to Golden because he thought it would be a good chance to be a part of rebuilding a team, and it might lead to more hockey in his future.
It is important to be a good teammate, and Callan says he helps with this by being positive and fun in the locker room and on the ice. He is a hard worker, and assisted his team in a win against the Chase Heat on September 22 with three assists.
“It’s been good so far. Everyone’s working hard and the team is coming together well,” he said.
Over the next season, Callan hopes to work on his skills and become a better player and a better person during his time in Golden.
