Royal Bay Ravens even up soccer record

The Colwood school dominated in a 4-0 win over the Lambrick Park Lions on Tuesday.

The Royal Bay Ravens looked sharp on home pitch Tuesday, evening their senior boys’ soccer record with a 4-0 victory over the Lambrick Park Lions.

The locals dominated for most of the game, but clung to a slim 1-0 halftime lead.

Devon Austin led the Royal Bay attack with a pair of goals and was a constant thorn in the Lambrick defenders’ sides. Matt Thompson and Mateo Campillo added singles.

The Ravens now sit at 1-1 in Tier 1 league play, having dropped their season opener 3-0 to Oak Bay.

Royal Bay was scheduled to play at Claremont yesterday (after the Gazette’s print deadline) and head to Mount Douglas for a game next Tuesday. They host Glenlyon Norfolk on Oct. 13.
