They had to take the long way, but the Revelstoke Secondary School senior boys soccer team has qualified for the Okanagan Valley championships in Kelowna from Nov. 1–2.
On Monday, Oct. 28, Revelstoke faced Kalamalka Secondary School in the North Zone championship, with the winner earning an automatic berth into the Okanagan championships. Kalamalka won 3-1, sending the RSS boys to a wildcard match against Westsyde in Kamloops on Wednesday.
There, Revelstoke pulled off a 4-3 win to qualify for the championships, which take place in Kelowna this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1–2.
