It was a great day on the links for the Alberni Men’s Club at the Alberni Golf Course, as 49 men teed it up for the Rainbow Lanes Partner with a Pro on Sunday.
Tyler Ruel along with his pro partner coming in with a 207 had the best of the day.
Following in their footsteps were Ted Stewart, Steve Acland, Cal Davies, Phil Anker, Bob Matlock, Jacques Giovetti, Vito Caldaruko, Bill Bjornson, Steve Pointon, Don McGowan, Masami Hirayama, Chris Owen and Bill Barrett, The final prize went to Clark Crow.
The closest to the pin winners were Glen Trask on No. 2, Corey Neilson on No. 4, Steve Pointon on No. 13 and Ted Stewart on No. 17.
The charity closest to the pin winner on No. 7 was Gary Korven, taking home $49.
In Men’s Club action on April 3, 29 players teed it up under cloudy skies.
The low gross winner coming in with 73 was Colin Hamilton. Great game, Colin. Next low gross with 78 was Ted Stewart. On the net side of the day it was Ken Fong carding a 63, followed by Jacques Giovetti’s 73 and third low net was Cal Davies.
The closest to the pin were recorded by Craig Acland on No. 2, Lloyd Fairley on No. 4, Colin Hamilton on No. 13 and Mike Pechor on No. 17.
Craig Acland took home $29 for the charity closest to the pin on No. 7. There were no money pot winners as all par 3’s were halved.
