Meantime, the official TC10K training clinics start the weekend of January 18 at recreation centres all over the Capital Regional District.
The Sooke clinic begins Jan. 19 at SEAPARC Leisure Complex.
The 14-week training program is offered with the objective of running or walking the 31st Annual TC10K on Sunday, April 26.
Each clinic has four pace groups – one for walking, and three running levels – for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Each week participants will progress in skill and fitness under the guidance of experienced clinic leaders.
More than 9,000 participate in the TC10K, which also includes the Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run.
