Sardis Falcons upset by Enver Creek Cougars in playoff opener

The Cougars escaped with a 2-1 road win Tuesday, leaving Sardis one loss from elimination.

The Sardis Falcons have zero margin for error in the Fraser Valley senior boy’s soccer playoffs, after losing to Enver Creek Tuesday.

The visiting Cougars escaped with a 2-1 road victory in the post-season opener, with Malcolm MacKenzie scoring the lone Falcon goal.

Fraser Valleys are double-knockout format, meaning one more loss will send Sardis packing.

Thursday’s home game vs Langley secondary school is now an elimination match and the Falcons will need to win three straight to qualify for provincials.
