The Wolverines head coach Matt Mortenson called this year “a season to be proud of.”
Following their quick playoff exit after losing to Belmont 27-8 in Friday’s playoff, the team finished fourth overall in their division (which includes two triple A teams: Belmont and GP Vanier) and in the top five for their conference.
The game started off excitingly with touchdowns on both sides.
“Belmont scored on the opening kickoff and EMCS returned the favour with a 70-yard reception from Alex Wright to Tyler Potter,” said Mortenson.
The Wolverines completed the two-point conversion to take the lead at the end of the first quarter 8-7.
EMCS couldn’t keep up with Belmont’s running game and that was it for the boys in blue.
“We marched the ball from end to end four times and could not finish. The game could have gone either way but in the end Belmont’s numbers and size advantaged them,” he said.
