Ben Vos scored four first-half goals, then went between the posts and shared a shutout with first-half keeper Ingo Kindler as the shorthanded Selects (5-13-1) shelled Vernon Kal Tire 7-0 in Capri Insurance Okanagan Oldtimers 55+ Soccer League action Thursday night at MacDonald Park.
The tiremen dropped to 8-9-2 on the season.
Kindler got in on the scoring in the second half while Ray Holden and Don Brown completed the romp.
It was 5-0 Selects at the break.
League-leading Vernon Silver Stars fared almost as well as their city rivals.
The Stars (16-3-2) were thumped 5-0 at Mission Sports Field by the Kelowna Kickers (11-6-3).
Mike Francis had two goals to lead the winners while singles went to Glen Heagle, Greg Kilmartin and Andy Miller.
