The Quesnel Curling Club’s eight Sponsor League teams hit the ice Wednesday night (Dec. 11), looking to slide past their opponents to victory.
The Century 21 team had a big four-ender in the second that helped them shut the door on the Redz Shedz team, winning the match 7-3.
The team from Sky-Hi Scaffolding flew away with the match after scoring a big five points in the third end, beating Quesnel Lawn Care with a final score of 8-4.
The Quesnel and District Child Development Centre (CDC) taught the Brenda Ernst team a thing or two about how to play the game, winning the match handily with a score of 7-3.
In what may have been the match of the night, the team from Service Electric took on the Billy Barker Casino team. The two teams traded points back and forth, but the eventual winners Service Electric were able to steal two points in the sixth and seventh ends for a final score of 10-4.
The standing through five weeks are:
Service Electric 4-1
Billy Barker Casino 3-2
Sky-Hi Scaffolding 3-2
Century 21 3-2
Redz Shedz 2-3
CDC 2-3
