Burns Lake resident Shelby Tom recently competed in the U21 Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship in Tavistock, Ontario.
Tom’s team – the Prince George Junior River Kings – classified after winning third at the Canadian Native Fastball Championships in Prince George earlier this month.
His family also competed in Prince George – his mother Chantal Tom played for Treaty 4 One Race; his brother Dakota Tom played for Schuswap; and his sister Jasmine Tom played for Alberta Lady Hawks.
