The Seattle Studs were a thorn in the side of the Langley Senior Blaze.
The Studs beat the Blaze twice, including in the championship finals, at the Kamloops International Baseball Tournament over the weekend.
Seattle beat Langley 6-2 during preliminary round action and then 9-4 in Sunday’s final at Norbrock Stadium.
Langley led 2-1 after one inning thanks to a two-run home run from Scott Webster, but could not build off their early lead.
Webster led the tournament with 10 RBIs while Jackson Gooch was named the top hitter after going 11-for-18, a .611 batting average.
The Blaze won their other three games, defeating the Kelowna Jays 11-3, the Highline Bears 2-1 and the Everett Merchants 8-4.
Langley also played a pair of league games this week, losing 8-2 to Coquitlam on Tuesday and 8-7 to Burnaby on Wednesday.
The Blaze host the Nanaimo VIBI ww in a doubleheader at McLeod Park on Saturday afternoon. Langley also faces Burnaby the following weekend in a best-of-three playoff series.
