The West Kelowna Warriors peppered Salmon Arm Silverbacks’ goalie Ethan Langenegger Friday night, but with 42 shots, the Warriors could only beat the red-hot Langenegger once. On the other side of the ice, it seemed the Warriors couldn’t catch a break as Salmon Arm were able to capitalize on almost every chance they had.
After out-shooting the Silverbacks through the first two periods, the Warriors found themselves down 4-0 at the start of the third. The Warriors were determined to finish the game strong and were able to finally crack Langenegger when Austin Chorney got his stuck on the puck on a rebound in front of the net.
The Warriors get a shot at redemption Saturday night; this time when the Silverbacks visit West Kelowna’s home ice Saturday night.
The end of the season is only nine games away, then it’s BCHL playoffs time.
