The Okanagan Season Sistas iced the Goplen Drillers 2-1 in Masters Division play Tuesday night at Marshall Field #2.

The Drillers (5-9-5) took a 1-0 lead into halftime after sneaking one past Sistas’ keeper Suzyn August.

Diane Neudorf tied it for the 6-10-2 Sistas in the second half when she took a sweet cross from Lisa Geary and sniped the bottom-right corner.

Tammy Buick sent Genevieve Nice off to the races with a gorgeous through ball midway through the second half. Nice ripped down the right side and scored on a tight-angled shot.

August made several great saves and Danielle Moffat was a rock on the back line.

Hansen’s heroics hamper Merlot

Jacquie Hansen put on a clinic Tuesday night with eight goals as Dr. Lee Dental/Squires Four Pub stuffed the Shuswap Merlot 10-1 at MacDonald Park.

Hansen sniped four in each half and Deanna Baker kicked in a pair.

Dr. Lee improved to 18-0-1, while the Merlot dipped to 7-10-2.

Kickers brush back Controllers 4-0

The Chick Kickers stifled the Controllers 4-0 at a steamy MacDonald Park.

Twin sisters Mel Jacobs and Holly Finkman played outstanding for the 15-3-1 Chick Kickers.

Jacobs scored a natural hat trick to start the game, then Finkman took a perfect cross from Wendy Martens, blew past a trio of defenders and jacked one top shelf. Robyn Sherwood picked up the shutout.

The Controllers (9-8-2) started with nine players as Leah Mulvihill, Mandy Frederick and Michele Wernicke had their hands full trying to slow the Kickers’ offence.
