Ski swap Saturday

Winter is practically on our doorsteps and the heavy snows are not far behind.

With winter practically on our doorsteps and the heavy snows not far behind, it’s time to start thinking about the equipment you’ll need to shred the powder this ski season.

On Saturday (November 3) at the Invermere Community Hall, prepare to feast your eyes on a wide assortment of skis, snowboards, helmets, bindings, boots and everything in between, as the Windermere Valley Ski Club Ski Swap returns for the umpteenth year. An annual tradition in Invermere, the swap draws hundreds of winter sports enthusiasts from around the region to peruse a massive selection of used gear from a huge number of private owners. Ski Club members will be on hand to price items for anyone who needs help, and the club keeps 20 per cent commission on all sales to help pay for general club activities over the year.

Equipment drop-off is from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 3 and the sale kicks off at noon sharp. If you want the best deals make sure to get there early, as people will be lining up to see if they can snag that one special piece of equipment.
