The Smithers Figure Skating Club performed a number from their upcoming ice carnival “Beauty and the Beast” during the first intermission at Saturday’s Steelheads game. The carnival is set for April 7, but hockey fans got a sneak preview as part of the Spirit of the Mountains Festival. Five of the girls also skated a demonstration during a free public skate last Thursday afternoon at the arena.
