The BC Long Track Funale on January 28-29 was a success despite a snowy Saturday that had snow clearers diligently keeping the track clean in the afternoon.
“The amount of space we have, and the freedom to have people, and all these different things set up within our school makes it probably one of the best places to host a championship,” said Allison Leach, one of the event organizers.
There were approximately 100 skaters out for the event. The youngest age range, Active Start, had to be cancelled because most of the kids participating were sick. The few that were well skated up with the older kids.
