Terrace softball teams competed against other northern teams from as far as Smithers and Houston in a tournament this weekend.
With close to 25 teams, the tournament clinches the softball season to an end for most teams, except for one team which is travelling to provincials July 7-9.
Houston bat their way to first place in the U10 mites division, beating in the finals Terrace green, coached by Les Kutenics.
The Terrace grey team coached by Bruce Neid claimed first in the U12 squirts division, playing in the finals against Terrace red, coached by Megan McAlpine.
In the U14 peewees division, Kenny Geisbrecht’s Terrace green team won first place against Jordie Edmonds’ Terrace red team in the finals.
