Softball teams score a lot of runs at provincials in Nanaimo

The Softball B.C. U16 B girls' provincials were held at the McGirr Sports Fields

The Diamonds didn’t end up in medal contention, but they were good sports as the hosts of provincial softball championships this past weekend.

The Softball B.C. U16 B girls’ provincials were held at the McGirr Sports Fields.

The Diamonds placed 15th at the tournament. The Cloverdale Fury won the provincial championship, beating the Coquitlam Classics 3-2 in the final. The Ridge Meadows Rage were third.
