PMFA offering up flag football

Flag football is hitting McNicoll Park from April 8 to May 10. Penticton Minor Football Association is looking to have at least five teams and this will provide kids the opportunity to learn the game without the worry of being hit. The deadline to register is the end of March and the association said getting high numbers is important to support their junior bantam, bantam and pee wee programs. The association is also having its annual general meeting in the Alliance Church near Walmart from 1 to 3 p.m. and attendance is important. It will give people a chance to discuss concerns and plans for the new season will also be on the agenda. Cost for kids to play flag football is $40. For more information, contact secretary Lorraine Sopow at 250-494-2229.
