Senior golf, senior men's hockey and rec hockey highlighted

Brusse wins “hidden holes” game

Linda Brusse carded 73 to win the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club counted their scores using “hidden holes” game on Sept. 26. Nine of the eighteen holes were designated as counting holes and scores were counted up, doubled and handicaps subtracted to arrive at the final tally.

Following Brusse was Marilyn Tamblyn with 75. Second flight; 1st Diana Leitch 72. Third flight; 1st Betsy McAndrew 73; Ellen Clay 76.

Sixty-five plus hockey season

Penticton’s 65-plus Hockey League drops the puck on another season on Oct. 11 at Memorial Arena. The league is seeking players. Those interested in playing are asked to contact Gary Depaoli at 250-492-4558 or Graham Faraday at 250-770-1154. Deadline to register is Oct. 1.
