CURLERS HEAD TO TOURNEY
The 100 Mile House blind curling team will be competing in the Western Blind Curling Championships in Winnipeg from March 15 to 18. This will mark the fifth time the team has competed at the Western championships. 100 Mile will compete against six other teams in the championship — two from each of the Western provinces with the exception of Manitoba, who is only sending one team. Round robin play will determine the winners, which means six games for the 100 Mile curlers.
LAST SKATE
The last public skate at the Lac la Hache Rolf Zeis Memorial Arena is on this weekend on March 12 at 3 p.m. with the last South Cariboo Woman’s League on Monday, March 13 at 6:45 p.m. If you haven’t had enough winter yet or would like to catch some hockey, this is your last chance in Lac la Hache.
MARCH MADNESS
The last of the big 100 Mile Nordics events is this weekend as well on Saturday, March 11. While a trail pass and gear are required, the event itself is free to attend. This ski or snowshoe event is on the night before the last full moon of the ski season.
