The 2017 edition of the Sicamous Ladies C/D tournament saw the Sicamous Sr. Angels walk away with first place for the third year in a row in the A side playoffs.

The Sr. Angels went undefeated in the tournament, including a thrilling 3-2, two extra-inning win over the Cawston Koyotes.

Angels first baseman Lindy Dewitt drove in the winning run on a line drive to centre field in the ninth inning. Angels pitcher Ann-Marie Crandlemire had a very strong game, pitching all nine innings for the win, as well as driving in the tying run in the ninth inning.

The Sicamous U19 Angels also played very good fastball, but lost to eventual runner-up Calgary Wolves in the B side playoffs 2-1. The U19 Angels used the ladies tournament to tune up for the U19C Girls Provincial Championship being held in Chilliwack on July 7-8-9, after qualifying in the Okanagan playdowns last week in Vernon.

The next fastball action in Finlayson Park will be the Senior Mens Provincial Championship, being held in Finlayson Park on the July 28-29-30 weekend.
