Race fans didn’t care if it was raining at the Thunder Mountain Speedways’ Stampede weekend.
Outfitted in rain jackets, under umbrellas or under tents set-up on trailers and even couches, there were lots of tailgate parties going on as attendees hooped and hollered for their favourite racers.
Events such as King of the Hill, Smoke Show and the ever-popular Hit to Pass thrilled the crowd Friday night. Saturday night was set aside for the premiere racing events.
