The local junior B hockey club beat the Port Moody Panthers 5-3 on Friday at MSA Arena behind three-point nights from Kolten Grieve and Austin Edwards, who each notched a goal and two assists. Brady Lawlor, Brad Parker and Jared Virtanen also scored in the victory.

The Pilots followed that up with a 5-0 win over the North Vancouver Wolf Pack on the road Saturday, as goalie Zachary Station posted a 32-save shutout. Lawlor paced the offence with two goals, while Parker, Alexander Methorst and Colton Cowden added singles.

The streaking Pilots went 7-0 in October to take over first place in the Pacific Junior Hockey League’s Harold Brittain Conference with a 10-3-1 record for 21 points, one up on the Aldergrove Kodiaks. They open their November schedule at home vs. the Ridge Meadows Flames on Friday (7:30 p.m., MSA Arena).
