Strong showing by Langley swimmers at 2018 Ontario Junior International Swim Meet

Langley Olympians Swim Club members broke two club records, helped B.C. win team silver

Langley Olympians Swim Club members Josie Field, Joshua Kim and Hugh McNeill swam as part of Team B.C. at the 2018 Ontario Junior International Swim Meet.

The Langley swimmers were competing with 350 of the best swimmers from across Canada, among them Finlay Knox and Cole Pratt who broke the 15-17 Canadian age group national records in the 200 metre individual medley and 200 metre backstroke at the meet.

Joshua Kim swam butterfly as part of the Team B.C. relay team that placed second in the men’s 18 and under 400m individual medley.

Josie Field placed ninth in the women’s 18 and under 200 metre butterfly . She also broke an Olympians club record in the butterfly.

Hugh McNeill placed ninth in the men’s 18 and under 200 metre backstroke. He also placed fifth in the B consolation final and broke the Olympians club record in the men’s 18 & under 400 metre individual medley.

The Ontario Junior International Swim Meet was held at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre from Friday December 14th to Sunday December 16th.
