Stu Dickson wins Golden enduro race

Revelstoke’s Stu Dickson emerged as the winner of the Kootenay-Rockies Enduro mountain bike race in Golden last weekend.

Revelstoke’s Stu Dickson emerged as the winner of the Kootenay-Rockies Enduro mountain bike race in Golden last weekend. Dickson completed the two-day, eight-stage race in a time of 41:17 to finish 17 seconds ahead of David Harder to take the elite men’s title.

Enduro is a relatively new form of mountain bike racing that involves untimed climbs, followed by timed descents. Two other Revelstokians took part in the race. Andrew Danyluk finished eighth in the open men’s category, and Dan Nelson was 22nd.

Both the BC and Kootenay-Rockies enduro series have their final race in Revelstoke on Sept. 13–14.
