Skaha Lake won the School District #67 Middle School Track Meet held on June 8 in convincing fashion.
The Sharks won with 313 points, KVR was second with 174 points and Summerland third with 119.
Two records were broken with Tayla Ingram of Summerland Middle School scoring a record 1.5 metres for Grade 7 girls high jump and Maya Bassot of Entre Lacs, Paris Fletcher of SLMS and Faith Henderson of Entre Lacs all scoring 1.56-m for the Grade 8 girls high jump.
In the end, the winner came down to the number of attempts the girls had to do in order to win. Bassot did it in one jump, Fletcher in two and Henderson in three.
Ribbons were distributed for the top three spots from each event.
