On Sept. 17, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club competed for the Rental Cup. This one-day low net tournament is sponsored by the Summerland Rental Centre.
Results: First Pat Gartrell, second Vijai Vaagen, third Barb Oleschuk, fourth (tie) Linda Brussee, Carol Mulligan, Lanette Graham, Diana Leitch, Frances Colussi. Closest to the pin (K.P.) winners are 0 to 26 Handicap Pat Gartrell; 26 plus handicap Vijai Vaagen. Long putts measured on hole #9 Janis Goll and on hole #18 Christine Haessig.

Summerland Senior Men
On Sept. 19, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played a one gross, three net scores event.
Bob Fortune had the overall low gross with a 76 while Peter Schnurr led the field with a net 69.
Six players shared the deuce pot, Jeff Goodis, Bob Dickeson, Martin Nisbet, Frank Davie, Jerry McKenna and Bob Fortune.
First flight: First low gross Bob Fortune, 76; first low net Peter Schnurr, 69; second low net Doug Steinke, 72; third low net Jim Haddrell, 75.
Second flight: First low gross Barry Wicker, 85; first low net Alf Vaagen, 70; second low net Chuck Harman, 73; third low net Andy Webster, 76.
Third flight: First low gross Frank Davie, 92; first low net Rick Drewnisz, 71; second low net Stew Macaulay, 75; third low net Reg Minty, 76.
