The Summerland Steam finished the weekend with an overtime win followed by a loss in Junior B hockey action on the weekend.
On Friday, the Steam hosted the Princeton Posse, playing to 6-5 overtime win.
Summerland took the lead with a goal by Jerrett Watson at 8:4s in the first period. Ryan Allen and Ante Mustapic assisted.
Matthew Byrne contributed a goal for the Steam at 7:53, assisted by Mitchell Gove and Liam McLaren.
Noah Brusse of the Posse responded with a power play goal at 5:15, assisted by Brendan Adams and Josh Olson.
In the second period, Adams tied the game with a Princeton goal at 17:28 Brusse and Tyler Stinchcombe assisted.

Byrne brought the Steam back into the lead with a goal at 14:40, assisted by McLaren and Lane French.
Tyson Conroy added a goal for Summerland at 14:12, with assists by McLaren and Morey Babakaiff.
McLaren added a goal at 3:46, assisted by Conroy and Ethan McLaughlin.
In the third period, the Posse rebounded with two unanswered goals.
Josh Olson scored an unassisted shorthanded goal at 11:24.
Trevor Gulenchyn added a goal at 9:39, assisted by Terrance Josephson and Bevis Chou.
In the second overtime period Byrne scored the deciding goal with four seconds on the clock.
The following day, the Steam lost to the Chase Heat in a 3-2 decision.
Once again Summerland opened scoring.
McLaren scored for the Steam at 16:12, assisted by Jordon Woytas and Mustapic.
In the second period, Chase scored two unanswered goals.
Breckin Erichuk scored at 9:59, assisted by Caleb Biensch. Then at 3:21, Colton Nikiforum added a goal, assisted by Erichuk and Corson Nordick to put the Heat in the lead.
In the third period, Babakaiff scored for the Steam at 18:35 to tie the game. McLaren and Byrne assisted.
Nikiforuk scored the winning goal for Chase with 19 seconds remaining. Trevor Kennedy and Brandon Gremaud assisted.
The Steam are in third place in the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference: Bill Ohlhausen Division of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.
At present the team has 21 wins, 20 losses and four overtime losses in regular season hockey action
The next game for the Steam is on Friday, Feb. 14 when the team will host the Kelowna Chiefs.
The game will be held at the Summerland Arena, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
