The Summerland Sweets 7.4K and TriPower 3.2K cross-country races were earlier this month near the Rodeo Grounds in Summerland.
Top runner in the 7.4K was Liam McGrath from Vernon in a time of 27 minutes, 43 seconds and Annie Bergen from Kelowna was not only the first woman across the line in 32:29 but in doing so set a new course record.
Braden Kersey crossed the line first in the 3.2K race with a time of 13:09 and Tayla Ingram from Summerland was top female in 15:22. Both races had a substantial increase in the number of participants over previous years with 127 in the 7.4K and 83 in the 3.2K totalling 210 athletes altogether.

Local triathlon club, TriPower, won the team event in both races by a large margin.
