The Roe Lake and District Recreation Commission welcomed seven teams to take part in their annual Magoo Memorial slo-pitch tournament last weekend at the Interlakes ball diamonds.
Visitors came from Kamloops, Kelowna and Whistler for the two-day event.
Team Red Rock from 100 Mile House won the first-place tournament trophy and Van De Gang from Whistler finished second.
Third place went to Thunder Down Under, which was a mixed team from Interlakes, Kamloops and Kelowna. Paddison’s from 100 Mile House was fourth.
“We had a great weekend for baseball — sunny, sunny, sunny,” says Christine Nadeau, a key organizer of the tournament. “Everyone had a good time.”
