A pair of Surrey boxers won titles at the Clash of the Cascade event last month in Langley.
Kylic Taylor, of the Ocean Park club, earned the City Super Middleweight title with a third round TKO (technical knock out) of Narinder Akali of the Port Kells club.
Ritchie Evanochko, of the Port Kells Boxing Club, won the City Heavyweight title, defeating Nate Nowalk of Richmond. Evanochko was knocked down in the third round, but recovered to win a unanimous decision.
Two other Port Kells club members won their bouts, part of the 10-match card in front of a crowd of 600 at the Coast Hotel and Convention Centre in Langley Jamie Chadwick won a middleweight contest, and Julian Kim won his light heavyweight match.
